Lung cancer is one of the most common and serious types of cancer. A persistent cough could be a sign of lung cancer.
Finding it early makes it more treatable, so tell your doctor.

Signs and symptoms:

green bullet point A cough or croaky voice that lasts longer than 3 weeks

green bullet point A long standing cough gets worse

green bullet point Persistent chest infections An unusual lump or swelling anywhere on your body

green bullet point An unexplained pain or ache that lasts longer than 4 weeks

green bullet point Unexplained weight loss or heavy night sweats
