What is World Class Commissioning? An assurance process which looks at how well all primary care trusts across the country are performing their commissioning role.
Commissioning refers to the agreements and funding put in place by NHS Leicester City so everyone can get the treatment they need both in the community - including GP services and dentistry - and in hospital.
By assessing primary care trusts and helping them to identify where improvements can be made the scheme aims to deliver better health and wellbeing for the local population, improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities.
