NHS Leicester City Membership enables people from all sections of the community to play a key role in our work in a way that suits them. The main aims of NHS Leicester City Membership are:

to develop two-way communication between NHS Leicester City, people who use the NHS, community and voluntary groups, and frontline staff

to recognise the knowledge and experience of Leicester residents and NHS staff

to serve as a forum for discussion and dialogue about NHS Leicester City

to share information with the public
Membership
Any member of the public, including frontline staff, who lives or works in the area covered by NHS Leicester City can join NHS Leicester City Membership.
By joining, you will get:

the chance to use your experiences to influence healthcare in your community, for example, the work of GPs, pharmacists, dentists and midwives

regular updates on your special areas of interest

NHS discounts and entrance to prize draws

invitations to special events

NHS Leicester City, NHS Leicester County and Rutland, Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust and East Midlands Ambulance Service are working together and are looking for local people to become members of all their organisations.
What is the difference between these NHS organisations?
NHS Leicester City is responsible for buying health services on behalf of the people of Leicester.
GPs, rehabilitation and therapies, mental-health care, ophthalmic, pharmacy, and dentistry.
Community health services, and the hospital services provided by University Hospitals of Leicester
NHS Leicestershire County and Rutland is responsible for buying health services on behalf of the people of Leicestershire county and Rutland.
GPs, pharmacists, dentists and optometrists, local hospitals, community health centres and clinics, health visitors and community nurses, also specialist mental health and learning disabilities services and ambulance services.
Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust provides quality care in the area of mental health and learning difficulties. It covers the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland area.
East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) is committed to providing all our patients with access to high quality clinical care and services to ensure the best experience and clinical outcome.
